The Point72 Academy is looking for undergrads with a passion for the capital markets, an insatiable appetite for research, and demonstrated academic excellence.
If that’s you, register today to participate in Point72’s 2017 Global Case Competition. Starting March 10, 2017, you’ll have ten days to research a case, assemble your unique view, and present your ideas via video for review by Point72 professionals. If you’re among the best eight teams, you’ll become a Point72 Global Case Competition Finalist, which will look pretty great on your resume.
As a Finalist, you’ll earn an all-expenses-paid weekend in NYC where you’ll rise to the challenge of presenting your case to some of Point72’s top portfolio managers. Global Case Competition Finalists are also guaranteed an interview for the Point72 Academy Summer Program and the first place team secures their seats in our 2017 Sophomore Summit, the first step in a career at Point72.
Any undergraduate student who will graduate in 2019 or 2020 (to include study abroad students) is eligible. Teams must register in groups of three, and all team members must attend the same university.
How to Participate in the 2017 Global Case Competition
Register: Your team must consist of three (3) students from the same university. You must identify a single team captain and a team name. Each team member must register individually, using the same team name. The deadline for registration is March 9, 2017.
Submit your Pitch: On March 10, 2017, team captains will receive submission instructions for their teams’ entries. Teams must then submit their presentation and video through Point72’s portal by March 20, 2017.
Finalists: Finalists will receive notification by March 24, 2017. We will pair finalist teams with a mentor from Point72, who will provide expertise and assistance as students refine and improve their final presentations. Final presentations must be submitted by March 31, 2017. The competition will take place in New York City on April 21-22, 2017 and Point72 will cover all travel and accommodation costs within reason. The first place team is guaranteed a spot in our highly exclusive Sophomore Summit and all finalists will receive early consideration.
