#WorkWithPride competition
Dear students,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in The Economist Events’#WorkWithPride Mentoring Initiative(sponsored by Goldman Sachs). The initiative calls on young people across Asia Pacific to share and implement ideas that promote LGBT inclusion in their communities. Key components include:
·Competition Launch – Now until March 19th, 2018:
Groups of3-5individuals are invited to submit a proposal for an initiative that promotes LGBT inclusion in their communities. Initiatives may include educational events/lectures, social gatherings and content-creation campaigns (videos, blogs, etc.). Proposals will be evaluated by Goldman Sachs and The Economist Events, based on its originality, creativity, innovation, and ease of practical implementation.
·April 2018:Top three groups will be connected with a mentor over the next five months to help bring their ideas to life. Mentors are LGBT advocates and allies from Goldman Sachs and The Economist Events that have achieved success in promoting LGBT inclusion and diversity initiatives. Proposals must be implemented by September 2018.
·May 24th, 2018:Selected students will also be invited to attend the Pride and Prejudice LGBT conference in Hong Kong.
·September 2018:Mentoring concludes and upon successful implementation of their proposals, students are invited to have a career conversation with Goldman Sachs’ recruiting team.
