Guanghua School of Management Opening Ceremony
In the September of 2018, 66 people from all over the world met in Guanghua. We come from 5 continents, 28 countries and regions. We were in completely different cultural background before, speaking 28 different languages. But from then on, we have one same name: Guanghua 2018 IMBAer. After “Stepping Stone Ceremony”, the new family has experienced many unforgettable moments.

Making-Up for the Show
The ceremony show is our first big party, which fully demonstrated our diversity and internationalization. On September 15th, we brought a unique performance to Guanghua. Our classmates from different countries and regions waved flags, and some also wore local costumes in their hometowns. Four different shows made us shine in the stage. It not only reflects the integration of Chinese and foreign culture, but also shows that we are getting closer to each other.

The first Chinese Festival for Guanghua IMBAers is Mid-Autumn Festival, which is very important in Chinese culture. As a new family, we made good use of this opportunity to celebrate together. Many foreign students are thousands of miles far from their hometown, this moment, everyone of us feels like in our own family.

Fancy Dress at the Halloween Party
Our classmates from Western hemisphere also bring their culture to Guanghua. By the end of Oct, fellow Guanghua and PKU-ers decked out in Halloween costumes, filling the space with spooky spirits, along with little princesses, superheroes, and monsters. For many local students, we have never experienced such a party related to western culture before. Our family really bought us a lot of fun.

The most important thing we gain from Guanghua is the chance to return to campus life. This semester school provided us various courses to study, all of them helped us a lot to develop a better understanding of business and management in global stage and one belt one road background.

There are many touching moments we have experienced in the first semester. People majored in Accounting, Statistics and Economics voluntarily organized study sessions to help all the classmates. For better preparing a presentation, many of us even worked until deep night. Meanwhile, foreign students kept on studying Chinese language and culture, some of them already got great progress!

Guanghua also provided us many opportunities to interact with prestigious Chinese enterprises, this semester we visited so many companies in Beijing, this helped us a lot in reinforce our understanding of each industry.

After the first semester here, we feel very proud of being a member of Guanghua IMBA. We believe this experience will improve our abilities and sharpen our skills.
