陈嵘简介：1990获得Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.统计博士
；1999 - 2007 为 Department of Information and Decision Sciences and Department of Bioengineering, The University of Illinois at Chicago教授
；2005 - 2007 Program Director, Division of Mathematical Sciences, National Science Foundation
；2002 – 2005曾任我系教授、系主任。陈教授为Elected Fellow of Institute of Mathematical Statistics (2006)
